Easy DIY Wreath.

I don't usually spend time on crafts, I'm too impatient. But I saw this idea on The Little Brown House and I decided to try it. It looked super easy, and it was!  It took me 20 minutes.

All you need is a foam wreath, some coffee filters and something to attach the coffee filters.  I used a hot glue gun but you can also use floral pins or something similar.

Just gather the coffee filters into little flowers and attach with your method of choice.

Then just go around the wreath and fill it in as you like.  If you hate following directions as much as I do, then you will like making this wreath.  There really are no directions.

I hot glued a loop of ribbon to the back for hanging.  I like to use ribbons instead of wreath hangers.  You can use a small nail and tack it on the top of your door or behind a mirror.  It looks clean and it's cheaper.

Here he is hanging in our entryway.  If you wanted to get really crazy, you could attach a bow to it.  I love the sweet and subtle fall flavor this wreath has.

I did one of those too, but pure white with a starfish in the middle. I love how it turned out! Where did you find your coffee filters in that color?

Hi Virginia House! Thanks so much! I found the coffee filters at Target, they are unbleached. They look even better in person! :)

Really cute! I just bought a new coffeemaker and actually have a ton of the unbleached filters left over from the old one - now I know what to do with them! Yay!

Has anyone tried using food coloring to give them a different color? I would love to try one with blue or even blue and white. Would the water "melt" the filter? Guess I have to try it out!

I have seen coloured ones around...I think they used coloured cupcake liners!
